With a phenomenal spec sheet and build quality for the price, the Jet JS-400 S-Style electric guitar is here presented in a dusty Pink with Rosewood Fretboard. Jet guitars are inspired by classic high end guitars, and they really do look and feel much more expensive than they in fact are! The JS-400 is fitted with three ceramic magnet pickups in HSS configuration, resulting a hugely versatile range of tones. The bone nut and Roasted Maple neck are usually unseen at this price, as are the upgraded 2-point trem system and sculpted plate-less neck heel.

With a lightweight and resonant Basswood body, combined with a Roasted Canadian Maple neck, the Jet JS-400 gets off to a very good start. This guitar really has looks to die for, with a rich gloss finish showing off the Pink body to full effect. Aged plastic knobs and pickup covers give it a vintage look which complements the caramel hue of the neck and multi-ply parchment pickguard.

In terms of playing ergonomics, the JS400 is immediately comfortable for the modern guitarist, coming with a satin-finished Modern “C”-shaped neck profile and 9.5” radius Rosewood fretboard. Jet have gone to extra lengths to improve playing comfort, with an extra contour added to the lower body cutaway to ease upper-fret action, as well as a plate-less sculpted neck heel.

In terms of hardware, the 2-point vintage-style synchonised tremolo with pop-in trem arm is a fantastic feature at the price, while chrome closed-gear tuners provide precise and accurate tuning. The bone nut ensures that all vibrations from the strings are transferred to the three ceramic pickups. These are controlled via volume / tone knobs and 5-way switch layout.

The Jet JS-400 in Pink is the ideal starter guitar, significantly outshooting its price bracket in terms of features and specs. It’ll also appeal to seasoned guitarists and “tweakers” looking for an instrument to tinker with and mod at very little cost. A winner all around.
