Get ready to rumble with Flight’s new bass ukulele! The DUBS is a wonderful addition for both ukulele ensambles and pop bands alike, since it tunes just like a regular bass guitar—but it’s half the size! Crafted in mahogany and featuring an active pickup, Flight’s bass ukulele is a versatile little beast that will delight bass players of all ages.
The DUBS Bass Ukulele is constructed from laminate mahogany. Mahogany is a hardwood which has been used to make quality musical instruments for centuries. Its colour can vary a fair amount, from a pale pinkish brown to a darker reddish brown, and it tends to darken with age.
The neck and fingerboard of the DUBS are made from African okoume and Walnut. It’s a great combination that guarantees a stable intonation across the fretboard, is gentle to your hands, and looks great as well.
The nut may be a small component, but one that determines the pitch of the sound. The nut and saddle of the DUBS are made from bone(not from plastic). Just one of the details that make this ukulele truly special.
The preamplifier/EQ is a device that lets you connect a ukulele to an amplifier. The preamp features a tuner, saving you the headache of remembering where you left your tuner the night before! Most importantly though, this small device allows you the freedom to plug in wherever and whenever you like!
Light and stylish, yet offering excellent protection for your ukulele, Flight gigbags have already become legendary and with one hanging off your shoulder you will definitely make heads turn.
